Just like people, dogs have defining features. Our furry friends even have the equivalent of fingerprints.
Essentially, your pup's nose print is one of a kind. You can check out your dog’s nose print by getting really close to her snout. Just don’t be surprised if she sneaks in a few licks when you are looking at the dermal ridges on her nose.
This discovery about dogs' unique dermal ridges was made over 80 years ago. In 2016, Dr. David Dorman, a professor at North Carolina State University of Veterinary Medicine, shared information about dogs’ nose prints to the publication, The News & Order.
“Like human fingerprints, each dog has a unique nose print. Some kennel clubs have used dog nose prints for identification, and there are videos from the early 1930s showing how these nose prints are collected,” explained Dorman.
According to a 2019 article from Geography Realm, a Chinese “start-up company called Magvii” has developed facial recognition technology specifically for dogs. Essentially, the company has been able to return missing dogs to their pup parents with just their nose prints.
To use the app, owners are tasked to upload “multiple pictures of their dog’s nose.” As of 2019, the company claims that their technology “have brought back together over 15,000 lost dogs and their owners.”
Here at The Gentle Pit, we know that your dog’s nose print isn’t the only thing that makes them unique. Let us know in the comments below why your pooch is one-of-a-kind!

i promise Dr.Wealthy if my husband come back i will share testimony about him
My name is Davena, I’m from California in the USA. I want to use this opportunity to thank my great doctor who really made my life a pleasurable one today. This great man Dr.Wealthy brought my husband back to me, i had three lovely kids for my husband, about four years ago my husband and I had been into one quarrel or the other until he finally left me for one lady. I felt my life was over and my kids thought they would never see their father again. I tried to be strong just for the kids but I could not control the pains that tormented my heart, my heart was filled with sorrows and pains because I was really in love with my husband. Every day and night i think of him and always wish he would come back to me, until one day i met a good friend of mine that was also in a situation like me but her problem was her ex-boyfriend who she had an unwanted pregnancy for and he refused to take responsibility and dumped her. she told me that mine was a small case and that i should not worry about it at all, so i asked her what was the solution to my problems and she gave me this great man email address. i was doubting if this man was the solution, so i contacted this great man and he told me what to do and i did them all, he told me to wait for just two day and that my husband will come crawling on his kneels just for forgiveness so i faithfully did what this great man asked me to do and for sure after two days i heard a knock on the door, in a great surprise i saw him on his kneels and i was speechless, when he saw me, all he did was crying and asking me for forgiveness, from that day, all the pains and sorrows in my heart flew away, since then i and my husband and our lovely kids are happy. that’s why i want to say a big thank you to Dr.Wealthy. This great man made me understand that there is no problem on earth that has no solution so please if you know that you have this same problem or any problem that is similar, i will advise you to come straight to this great man. you can email him at:wealthylovespell@gmail.com

I am very happy to share with you all how Dr Marcus made me a lottery winner. I saw a couple of comments about him several years ago. I wondered how possible it is to win the lottery with spells. I eventually contacted him and did what he asked me to do, because I wanted to see how true this was for myself. I was out getting some groceries when he gave me the numbers and told me to go play, I quickly went ahead to purchase the lotto max ticket as instructed. These numbers were what I played, when I checked my ticket after the draw, I noticed I only matched three numbers, something told me to check the ticket again. That’s when I realized I was looking at the numbers from the wrong draw date. So I went back to find the results from the April 19th lotto max draw and that’s when I saw I matched all seven numbers. I was in total shock! Not truly believing I won the $70 million jackpot, I quickly called my best friend for some assistance. "I asked him to check the numbers on (OLG.ca) and to read them to me. All the numbers still matched. It was unbelievable to us but we had to make absolutely sure I had the winning ticket. So we decided to meet up at a store near our home and triple check them using the in-store ticket checker. When Reality started to sink in, I was in shock so this is real i recommend dr Marcus reach him.
